What: Southern Tier Brewery Night

When: Tuesday, 2/23/10, 6PM – 10PM

Where: Bar Great Harry, 280 Smith Street, Brooklyn, NY

Beers:

  • Backburner Imperial Barley Wine

  • Choklat Imperial Stout
  • IPA
  • Unearthly Imperial IPA
  • Oak-aged Unearthly Imperial IPA
  • Gemini Double IPA
  • Pale Ale
  • Phin and Matt’s Ale

One of New York’s premier makers of high-octane, seriously good beer is rolling through BGH once again. Last year’s Southern Tier event was high times so we’re happy to once again gather this army of heavy hitters. Hopefully the warming ABVs will help you say goodbye to NY’s brutal winter.

As always, prices will be nices and the meat and cheese will be free.

See you there, folks!

Tonight = Trivia

Just your friendly reminder that tonight at BGH there will be another exciting installment of Trivia with Mary and Pascal. Shit kicks at 8PM, so come early to pregame it. See you there. Well, I won’t be there, but you know what I’m saying.

Captain Lawrence Brewery Night

Posted: February 5th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: BGH, Events | No Comments »

What: Captain Lawrence Brewery Night

When: Tuesday, 02/09/2010, 6PM-10PM

Where: Bar Great Harry, 280 Smith Street, Brooklyn, NY

Beers:

  • ’09 Nor’easter that we been aging ourselves

  • Freshchester Pale Ale
  • Xtra Gold (bigger, meaner version of the Liquid Gold)
  • CASK Imperial IPA
  • Liquid Gold
  • Smoked Porter
  • Espresso Stout
  • Golden Delicious bottles

Everyone knows we love us some Captain Lawrence beer at BGH. 2.5 years ago we opened for business with their beer and you’ll still find Scott’s seasonal offering, imperial IPA, or liquid/xtra gold on our lines with some regularity. We have managed to cellar our own big winter warmer from last year, sneak a well-guarded imperial IPA cask out of the brewery, and stumble upon some rare Golden Delicious bottles so we’re throwing another party for Pleasantville! (this list may evolve a wee bit)

As always, prices will be nices and the meat and cheese will be free.

See you there, folks!
