Draft List: 9/15/2007

Two changes today. I’m going to go ahead and quote L.L. Cool J. for the first: We’re going back to Cali Westchester County, NY. Out is the Chelsea “Keg of 40,000 Pints” Fritzkreig IPA and in is the Captain Lawrence Imperial IPA. Yeah, we’ve had it before. Yeah, we’ll have it again.

Somehow we got derailed with our original plans to always have a Captain Lawrence line. Wait, somehow? I can tell you exactly how. We got caught in what has to be a classic misstep of green beer bar owners. I call it the Fuck it, dude. Let’s buy that keg, too trap. We wound up with about 18 different kegs for our modest but mighty 12-line system. We’re digging our way out quickly.

The second change will displease many of our regulars. We ran out of Stoudt’s Pilsner. This is wicked bad news for some of you. Luckily it’s a bit chilly today, so the Brooklyn Oktoberfest should make a few of you smile.
